A woman accused of serving her ex-husband’s family poisonous mushrooms with lunch has pleaded not guilty in an Australian court to three charges of murder and five charges of attempted murder. Erin Patterson, 49, appeared briefly in Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court by video link from a Melbourne prison where she has been held since her arrest in November last year. She pleaded not guilty to all charges and will appear in the Victoria state Supreme Court in Melbourne for the first time later this month. Proceedings have been fast-tracked after Patterson dispensed with a committal hearing. She also stands accused for the attempted murder of her ex-husband and another one of his family members. The Minnesota Twins are no stranger to unique home-run celebrations. They introduced a fishing vest and toy fishing pole to the dugout last season. This year, a summer sausage has become the object of their affection. Hitting coach David Popkins brought it into the dugout last week and beckoned his players to tap it before their at-bats. The Twins followed with a flurry of big hits. They took the cured meat with them on the road and have since stretched their win streak to 11 games after the sausage returned home safely. A Pennsylvania man says his emotional support alligator named Wally has gone missing amid the coastal marshes of Georgia. Joie Henney's alligator has attracted thousands of social media followers over the years, with videos and photos showing people petting and cuddling the 5 1/2-foot reptile. Wally's popularity skyrocketed last year when the gator was denied entrance to a Philadelphia Phillies game. Now Henney says the alligator that has helped relieve his depression for nearly a decade vanished April 21 from an outdoor enclosure during a vacation in Brunswick, Georgia.
