70th Anniversary: Gene and Virginia Sturgi

Gene and Virginia Sturgis celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in their Prescott Valley home June 6. Married in Indiana in 1942, they soon relocated to California where Virginia served as a USO volunteer while Gene served three years in the army during World War II. They moved to Arizona in 1968. They have two children, Greg Sturgis and Cynthia Johnson, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
