Raquel Stringer Parker earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tenn., on May 11, 2012.
Raquel is the daughter of Valerie Stringer and the late Roy R. Stringer and is married to Christopher Parker, all of Prescott.
Raquel graduated from Prescott High School in 2004. She earned dual degrees, Bachelor of Science in psychology and Bachelor of Arts in spanish from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008.
While studying at Vanderbilt Law, she had the opportunity to work at the International Criminal Tribunal in Haag, Netherlands. She also worked for the Pentagon under the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C.
Raquel and her husband, Chris, reside in Nashville, Tenn. She will work for the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, PC.
Prescott High School's Ethan Bond earned a $1,000 scholarship from a website development company for his prowess.
Bond is fluent in JavaScript, HTML, Python and an avid user of Photoshop CS. He started doing graphic design after spending time learning Photoshop and teaching himself the theory and technique of the trade. Eventually, he moved toward Web and user interface design and just recently began front-end Web development.
Bond heads to Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., in the fall and is aiming for Bachelor of Science degrees in computer science and product design and innovation. After, he hopes to join a startup to help shape the next social and technological revolution.
Aili Breda, a senior majoring in psychology, from Prescott Valley, made the Dean's List at California Lutheran University for the spring semester.
Matthew Seats, of Williamsburg, Va., is transferring into Prescott's adventure education program at
Prescott College
. He graduated with honors with an Associate of Arts degree in outdoor education and leadership and a credential in Wilderness First Responder from Central Wyoming College.
David Topping of Prescott, Ariz., received a Doctor of Law from the School of Law of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., at its 167th commencement ceremony on May 14, 2012.
