YBBBS Child of the Week - Angelina
Meet Angelina. She is 10 years old and in the fourth grade. Angelina thinks school is fun and entertaining, is a high achiever and loves her teacher. She also likes to read and go to the library.
Angelina lost her father when she was five years old. Her mother is disabled, so she would like a Big Sister to do activities with, such as running, going to the park or visiting the library. Angelina also likes to do crafts, cook, go walking and to the movies.
Angelina helps her mom around the house doing chores, such as vacuuming and cleaning her room. Her mom does not give her sugar or junk food. Angelina and her mother are "extremely close," although they are unable to do much together activity-wise.
You don't have to change your life to change the life of a young person like Angelina. Just a few hours a couple of times a month is enough to make a difference as a Big Sister.
