From the Yarnell Hill fire morning press briefing today, Southwest Incident Management Team spokeswoman Suzanne Flory said, "The fire did not grow in size (since Wednesday). We did continue to have some hot pockets within the fire, so we're going to be very cautious and we're going to be very deliberate about how we continue to work within the lines of the fire.
"We don't want to get complacent."
The Incident Command puts containment at 45 percent.
The blaze started Friday, June 28, at 5:30 p.m., west of Highway 89 between Yarnell and Peeples Valley, as a result of lightning. Its size is estimated at 8,400 acres.
As of today, 681 personnel - including 15 crews and 26 engines - are fighting the fire. Also, 13 helicopters are assigned to the incident and air tankers are available to support firefighters.
