The Arizona Sundogs open the public portion of their 2012-13 training camp today after breaking the ice on Monday with exclusive skate time for season ticket holders. A training camp roster of 30 players is back on the ice today for two sessions (10 a.m.-noon; 5-6:30 p.m.) under first-year head coach David Lohrei. All camp sessions are open to the public.
Camp continues Wednesday and Thursday this week, then picks up again on Sunday.
The Sundogs will whittle down their camp roster in preparation for the 2012-13 season opener, Oct. 20 in Allen, Texas, against the Americans. The season kicks off the franchise's seventh CHL season in Prescott Valley.
The Sundogs bring into camp 29 active roster players, plus five active goalies. The Sundogs have no preseason games scheduled.
The CHL's regular season officially opens with three league games on Friday, Oct. 19. Arizona's home opener is Friday, Oct. 26, against Missouri.
