Sundogs' leading scorer Baker re-ups with club
The Arizona Sundogs' offense will be in good hands again next season.

The team announced Tuesday that it re-signed last year's leading scorer, Kevin Baker, along with veteran defenseman Michael Couch for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

After spending 10 days inside an underground Dumpster in their latest effort to boost season-ticket sales for the Arizona Sundogs, team owner Brad Fain and general manager Chris Presson emerged victorious from their self-imposed dungeon late Friday afternoon.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona - One week ago today, two members of the Arizona Sundogs' front office were "buried" underground in a stunt to sell more season tickets.

What began as an incredibly promising postseason for the Arizona Sundogs ended with a whimper Saturday night in Colorado.

The Denver Cutthroats advanced to the Central Hockey League's Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Finals after crushing the Sundogs, 7-0, in Game 5 of the CHL semifinals at Denver Coliseum.

What began as a promising postseason for the Arizona Sundogs ended abruptly Saturday night in Denver.

The Denver Cutthroats advanced to the Central Hockey League's Ray Miron Presidents' Cup finals after crushing the Sundogs, 7-0, in Game 5 of the CHL semifinals at Denver Coliseum.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona - The Arizona Sundogs had to rely on inexperienced goaltender Adam Brown in place of injured CHL Goaltender of the Year Andrew Engelage Wednesday night, and the Denver Cutthroats capitalized by handing the hosts their most lopsided loss in the playoffs, 4-1, before 3,391 fans at Tim's Toyota Center.

3 unanswered goals in 5 minutes lift Sundogs
The Arizona Sundogs have done it again - splitting the first two games of a Central Hockey League playoff series on the road to gain home-ice advantage.

Like they did against the top-seeded Missouri Mavericks in the opening round, the No. 8-seed Sundogs are headed back to Prescott Valley tied with the No. 2 Denver Cutthroats at a game apiece in their best-of-seven semifinal series.

The underdog Arizona Sundogs are moving on to the semifinals of the Central Hockey League playoffs.

And the eighth-seeded Sundogs couldn't have done it in more dramatic or historic fashion, as they eliminated the top-seeded Missouri Mavericks from the postseason with a 4-3 victory in double overtime of Game 6 Tuesday night on the road.

Sundogs eliminate Mavs in 2OT, advance to Final Four
The Arizona Sundogs are moving on to the semifinals of the Central Hockey League playoffs.

Arizona, the eighth seed, came from behind to upset the top-seeded Missouri Mavericks, 4-3, in double overtime of Game 6 to win the opening-round CHL playoff series, four games to two, Tuesday night in Independence, Mo.

Kevin Baker scored the game winner with 51.3 seconds left in the second OT.

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Arizona - If the eighth-seeded Arizona Sundogs can upset the top-seeded Missouri Mavericks in the first round of the Central Hockey League playoffs, they'll have to do it at the Independence Events Center.
