Josh Lovett of Flag High captured the day's medal with an even 36. Bradshaw Mountain's Tanner Spohn tied for second place at 39, and Anne Transier was just off the pace with a 40 for fourth place.

McIlroy stumbles to 74, worst start in 2 months
PARAMUS, N.J. - Rory McIlroy took a week to celebrate his blockbuster summer and paid for it Thursday in The Barclays.

McIlroy went 13 holes before he made his first birdie at Ridgewood Country Club and finished with a 3-over 74, his worst start to a tournament in two months. He was at least eight shot out of the lead in the opening FedEx Cup playoff event and in danger of missing the cut.

Choi is early leader at Canadian Women's Open
LONDON, Ontario - Na Yeon Choi of South Korea chipped in for three of her nine birdies and tied the course record at 8-under 64 for the early lead at the Canadian Women's Open.

She is two strokes ahead of Danielle Kang, LPGA Championship winner Inbee Park and Xi Yu Lin following the completion of morning groups at London Hunt and Country Club.
