The Cougars were in charge Tuesday night in Chino Valley.

The home team led Mayer 13-4 after one period and 31-8 by halftime.

Senior Cole Padilla led all scorers with 25 points; one fewer than the entire Wildcats team. Justin Cabell scored eight points, and Tory Marciel added six.

The Cougars are home again Thursday, this time against Prescott.
