Special to the Courier

United Animal Friends (UAF) will host a free forum/workshop to discuss its Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) program from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22, in Founders Room A at Prescott Public Library. Call 778-1491 to reserve a spot as seating is limited.

As part of its TNRM program, UAF welcomes caretakers of feral and abandoned free-roaming community cats as well as the interested public. Attendees are encouraged to bring any questions related to any aspect of TNRM. Experienced TNR trappers and colony caretakers will be available to answer any questions related to community cats, the trapping process and the management of a colony.

Caretakers will also have an opportunity to meet other caretakers to help form a support network for those working alone or just starting out.

A variety of traps and other equipment used in TNR will be demonstrated. Attendees will get hands-on experience to operate and become familiar with traps. Information on purchasing and borrowing equipment will be available. Community resources available for TNRM will also be covered.

For more information and to RSVP, call 778-1491.
